Sharlene Sutter and Thomas Stark are both avid rose gardeners and members of the GSRF (Gesellschaft Schweizerischer Rosenfreunde). It was at one of the rose society meetings that Sharlene, already an iris enthusiast, mentioned her dream of having an iris field.
